Who are we?
The Action Center for Food Security and Sustainable Development (CASAD) is an apolitical, secular and non-profit organization.
To be an institution recognized as being of public utility, efficient and undeniable in terms of strengthening the capacities of rural communities to increase food security and promote sustainable development.
CASAD’s mission is to improve food and nutrition security and support sound natural resource management through knowledge management, facilitation, capacity building, and the empowerment of rural communities and professional agricultural organizations.
Commitment to development: CASAD is committed to promoting sustainable development, improving the well-being of agricultural and rural populations in good governance and respect for the environment.
Transparency: CASAD wants to guarantee excellence, transparency and accountability in all its projects and for all the beneficiary stakeholders. CASAD will demonstrate great ethical and professional integrity in fulfilling its mission.
Empowering Communities: CASAD will seek to help the individuals, groups, organizations and organizations with whom it works, while respecting the richness and diversity of their voices, enabling them to build and strengthen their capacities and become self-reliant;
Promoting gender equity: CASAD will promote gender equity and the active involvement of young people
